Alma’s innovative studying programs for groups, companies, and organizations address Jewish-Israeli identity using Jewish texts and Hebrew cultural sources. Alma tailors its offerings and delivery formats to each group’s unique requirements.
Participants learn in fellowship — "chavruta" pairs or small group “chavrutot” that foster deep interpersonal discussion and debate of materials, sharpening each other's insights and interpretations.
Beit Midrash, seminars, tours, and events feature themes and topics tied to Hebrew culture (Jewish, Israeli, and world cultures) and Jewish classical texts such as Bible, Mishnah, Talmud, Jewish mysticism (including Kabbalah and Hassidic texts), Piyutim (sacred poems written in Hebrew), Jewish philosophy (since the Middle Ages), and modern literature (Jewish, Hebrew, and Israeli). When relevant, key ideas, thinkers, movements in world literature, history, philosophy, and the arts are studied as well.
